So our best laid plans and intentions of scrambling on the mighty Buachaille Etive Mor went some what down-hill as it became clear that the ever more persistent drizzle was not going to give way to glorious sunshine as we had hoped.

Inspired by a fantastic couple of days of sun and blue sky we rather optimistically made our way up to Glencoe to scramble around on some rhyolite. Luckily it stays pretty grippy even in the wet.

By the end of our ascent of north buttress we were rather damp and decided to chicken out back down the path to the car. Next time….
