So it’s back to work and back into a Canoe. This time working for Active Stirling running a Duke of Edinburgh through the highland fault line.

Mclaren High School based in Callander on the banks of the river Teith chose to use Active Stirling to facilitate their D of E of silver expedition along the Caledonian Canal. Starting out from Corpach in the Snowgoose Mountain Centre we sensibly put in above the Neptunes staircase to paddle along the canal system then onto loch lochy finishing the day at lower laggan. Day two saw us back onto the canal system through loch oich and on to Kytra. A wonderful setting in perfect weather conditions. As we only had three days it was sad to make it past Fort Augustus and onto Loch Ness only to sail along for 6km before departing and returning back to the South.
